Taking Sabbatical!

31 07 2007

I looked up the word Sabbatical and its definition pretty well describes what I am going to be doing.

A sabbatical year is a prolonged hiatus, typically one year, in the career of an individual taken in order to fulfill some goal, e.g., writing a book or traveling extensively for research.

Well, I guess it is time to finally fess up that none of this stuff out here on the internet really works. I would like to say it is just me, but unfortunately there are a large number of us out here that are now realizing that None of this is really all worth it.

I will be taking a sabbatical to work on my next book that I will be outlining all of the fallacies of the internet…until then you may want to check out my other book to catch up on what is going on.

You can check out the periodic blogs I will post over at my main site, IBGS Blog. Hope you enjoy the archive of blogs I have posted here.

SPAM In The Making

9 05 2007

mr-business-golf-in-the-library-cropped-small.jpgYou know, it is blog posts like this one produced by I AM Blog that is where SPAM starts.  Someone who is naive enough to fall into this trap and be associated in this pile of people wanting to play the number game and the number game only is setting themselves up to have their hard work of providing legitimate content to the internet all be placed in a SPAM Folder.

It is stuff like this that causes MyBlogLog to issue out message that you can only have 20 unanswered emails to their members without being locked out from making further emails to MBL members.

I think this effort on I AM Blog  is fodder for a great blog from GiveMeAFrigginBreak site orgmafb-inital-green-g-flat-black-small.jpg even better a post of this on the GiveMeAFrigginBreak.com site…yaw, that is the ticket.

MyBlogLog: What Can I Say?

23 04 2007

OK, OK, MyBlogLog…I have not forgotten.  Thanks for the emails reminding me that I mentioned I was going to tell you about MyBlogLog…So here it is.

MyBlogLog, what can I say?  There are a lot of people over there, or at least it appears to be.  It took me about four visits after I signed up to figure out how to use the site…it was easy to sign up, but after you do that it took awhile to figure out what the site for.

Rex Dixon cracked the code per say for me and he started the ball rolling, but really I have not seen too much benefit from it.

I went out and looked at all of the 52 Golf communities, or communities that had golf in their name, and about 40% of them were incomplete or were abandoned sometime ago.  The same was true with the communities with the name business in them…most were empty or were MLM or other deceptive looking businesses.  Not businesses I want to go to my site

Mostly it looked as thought from what I could tell it was a ‘Dudes looking for Chicks and Chicks looking for Dudes’ site… Guess if you are into that, then MyBlogLog is what you are looking for.

On the positive side the site did list the blogs I am writing, but if nobody is checking out my community the traffic for that really was not worth it.  I did get a few emails from the admin there mentioning that what I was needing or wanting was on their pay for side of the site…go figure…Guess you get what you pay for don’t ya.

Now, does that give you what you want to know…I am still on their site, but I am about like the rest of the members of MyBlogLog, not very active…especially now that they will not allow you to email to more than 20 people until you get responses to the 20 emails…that sucks.

You tell me what you have found good or bad about MyBlogLog.  There is some sites other there that Are Really All Worth It, I just have not found them yet.
