Taking Sabbatical!

31 07 2007

I looked up the word Sabbatical and its definition pretty well describes what I am going to be doing.

A sabbatical year is a prolonged hiatus, typically one year, in the career of an individual taken in order to fulfill some goal, e.g., writing a book or traveling extensively for research.

Well, I guess it is time to finally fess up that none of this stuff out here on the internet really works. I would like to say it is just me, but unfortunately there are a large number of us out here that are now realizing that None of this is really all worth it.

I will be taking a sabbatical to work on my next book that I will be outlining all of the fallacies of the internet…until then you may want to check out my other book to catch up on what is going on.

You can check out the periodic blogs I will post over at my main site, IBGS Blog. Hope you enjoy the archive of blogs I have posted here.

OPT-IN: Is It Worth It

24 04 2007

Well I broke down and got the AWeber.com auto responder service. Seems EVERYONEmr-business-golf-in-the-library-cropped-small.jpg is telling me that I need it….well, Alrighy then, I Got it and I put it on my IBGS site so go use it…that is the only way I will be convinced that it is worth it.

It is a pretty simple operation to service so far. I walked myself through the guide to setting up the basics. You would think that with as much as they want for their service they would have provided a slick video showing you how it worked.

sitepal.jpgThe next thing I have been told I need is SitePal.com.sitepal_logo_motto.gif..it is kind of cute and the Artificial Intelligence is cool to play around with…but, DUDE, he cost of that service is not in my budget. You have to get the $49.95 a month version to get the features you need to really make the service work…I am a long way from that. Hopefully this technology will get more mainstream and force the price down to a more realistic fee. Of course, if they want to provide me with a year’s worth of service for promoting them I would take it.

I could see the SitePal helping with the Opt-IN…got to sell a few more books to get to paying for that service.
