Taking Sabbatical!

I looked up the word Sabbatical and its definition pretty well describes what I am going to be doing.

A sabbatical year is a prolonged hiatus, typically one year, in the career of an individual taken in order to fulfill some goal, e.g., writing a book or traveling extensively for research.

Well, I guess it is time to finally fess up that none of this stuff out here on the internet really works. I would like to say it is just me, but unfortunately there are a large number of us out here that are now realizing that None of this is really all worth it.

I will be taking a sabbatical to work on my next book that I will be outlining all of the fallacies of the internet…until then you may want to check out my other book to catch up on what is going on.

Rex Dixon: New ‘Technically Speaking’ Site

Yes, that’s right, Rex Dixon has caught on so much that he is setting his ‘Technically Speaking’ shop on his own domain rexduffdixon.com.  Looks like January 1, 2007 is the launch date and until then you can get a simulcast of his highly rated blogs and Podcasts from both his WordPress Site and his New Site.   Congratulations to RD for the move and for being one of the Internet’s only true Web 2.0 initiators.

T-Shirts: Great Way to Express Yourself

I was sitting here in my new Technically Speaking T-Shirt (Yes, it is winter here and again Yes it is cold, but I am inside where it is warm so I am wearing a T-Shirt) reading blogs and waiting on WordPress to get through with their maintenance and realized….how comfortable this T-Shirt was.

So I fired up Google and just put in the word T-Shirt (Maybe that is Two Words) and WOW!  T-Shirt was listed 92,700,000 times on Google.  Now, unless you are one of those dorks who are the founders of Tribe.Net, MySpace or the failing Facebook, the saying Ninety Two Million Seven Hundred Thousand is a mouth full. 

But when I put in Technically Speaking T-Shirt….well, …just get one of these shirts and express the feeling that a lot of people have seen this site…
